Our latest edition to the portfolio is this Range Rover Evoque. It was treated to our Surface Protection detail. Our client contacted us as he wanted to restore the paintwork of the vehicle to a smooth, glossy finish as well as having the added reassurance that it would also be fully protected. In addition he will now also find regular maintenance easy, which was of great importance given that he does not have much time to wash the car in between a busy work schedule.
Firstly the bodywork was treated to ValetPro Advanced Snow Foam. With this, the car is blanketed in a cleansing foam as a pre-wash to help soften and remove any loose surface contaminates. It is left to dwell for a few minutes before agitating the hard to reach areas with a soft detailing brush.
The alloy wheels were then decontaminated and deep cleaned with ValetPRO Bilberry Wheel Cleaner, fully washed and rinsed.
After this all of the door shuts and sills were cleaned with citrus degreaser. It was then onto the two bucket wash method. Grit guards, lambs wool wash mitts and a premium shampoo, in this case Swissvax Car Bath was used to ensure a safe wash. It is essetial that the shampoo solution bucket remains free from removed grit and contaminates, this significantly reduces the risk of inflicting light surface scratches.
The next stage was to remove all of the tar deposits. The paint and glass was then fully clayed to remove anything the wash process failed to do. The previous stages safely dissolve and remove larger bonded contaminates, this greatly reduces the risk of picking up a large particle in the clay which could mark the paint. Clay lubricant is used as it’s essential to the performance and safety of clay.
After being wiped down to remove all residue the paintwork was enhanced using Autofinesse Ultra glaze. This is a non-abrasive acrylic polymer enriched glaze designed to enhance paintwork whilst reducing the appearance of fine swirls and marring. Once this was complete two layers of Soft 99 Fusso was applied. The tyres were then dressed and the alloy wheels waxed with Swissvax Autobahn Wheel Wax. They now look even more shiny than the day they were new whilst also benefiting from being fully protected from brake dust contamination! The glass was then treated to CarChem glass sealant.
